The Legend of Shangri-La

Shangri-La or Shambhala is said to be a civilization of perfect human beings living within a Utopic world nestled within the Himalayan Mountains near Tibet. This is a realm where all humans live in perfect harmony with each other and with the environment. They are all spiritual masters and experienced manifestors and have learned how to extend their lifespans and preserve their youth. Their role on earth is said to be to help mankind progress and evolve spiritually. This mystical land cannot be seen with the naked eye because it is shrouded from the outside world by shield of psychic energy. Only those who are worthy are able to catch a glimpse of this magnificent paradise. Shangri-La is also protected by beings called "Snow Guardians" who guard all entrances. Buddhist writings say that it is possible to reach Shangri-La but only through a hard expedition across the mountain range. However only those who are "called" or spiritually enlightened enough are allowed to find its true location. It is said that those who search for Shangri-La are never heard of from again either because they succumbed to the harsh elements or because they were worthy enough to be invited into Shangri-La. It is said that even the worthy only have one chance in a lifetime of finding Shangri-La and if it is found and left, it cannot be found again. It seems that those who may have found it chose to stay. Who wouldn't? There is a prophecy that states that Shangri-La is ruled by a different king ever century and that a total of 32 kings must rule before the outside world collapses into war and is overrun with evil. When this happens the last ruling king will emerge from Shangri-La with a massive army and use the most powerful ancient wisdom that has been guarded in Shangri-La since the dawn to time to save the world, restore peace and usher in the Golden Age.
